The James J. Hill Center is a world-class research facility dedicated to helping you start, build and grow your business or career. Explore our unparalleled collection of free online databases, free research classes, and one-on-one research support.

The Hill Center’s historic print collection is comprised of business archives from the mid-1800s to the turn of the 21st century. Some books are very old and in fragile condition. While visitors are encouraged to explore our collection, a staff person must assist with all handling of books. For historic research requests, email [email protected] prior to your visit.

Patrons with accessibility needs please access our ground floor elevator entrance via Kellogg Ave at the back of the building.
